Our Orthodontic Services and Braces Options Near You

Our orthodontists in Tomball, TX offer several orthodontic treatment options to fit each of our patients’ individual needs. Our orthodontic services include the following:

Traditional Braces

Esthetics aren’t the only reason for orthodontic treatment. Few people are born with the genes to develop straight, beautiful teeth and perfect occlusion. (Occlusion is the way upper and lower teeth fit together when your mouth is closed. Good occlusion is important for comfortable oral function and lasting good oral health.)

Traditional braces correct mild to complex occlusal issues, while also straightening teeth so that you’ll achieve an attractive, one-of-a-kind smile. In addition, traditional braces are economical and extremely popular for adolescents and teens. Unlike the braces of previous generations, small orthodontic brackets and lighter wires make braces less obvious. Treatment time varies but usually lasts about two years. The results, however, can last forever!

Invisalign

People who value their appearance sometimes shy away from orthodontic therapy with metal braces. They don’t want a mouthful of metal to interfere with their persona. For teenagers and adults concerned with their image, Invisalign aligners provide the ideal solution. Invisalign even has a phase-one treatment option for kids as young as six years old, called Invisalign First.

Invisalign is a revolutionary orthodontic treatment that doesn’t require brackets and wires or rubber bands. Instead, Invisalign clear aligners, made of soft acrylic, gently shift teeth closer and closer to their ideal position, usually in about 12 months.

Clear Braces

Image-conscious adults who need top-arch orthodontics and don’t qualify for Invisalign can opt for clear braces. Though we call them “clear braces”, they are actually white ceramic brackets that are less obvious than traditional braces, which are shiny and obvious.

Phase I

Has your family dentist referred your child for an orthodontic evaluation? Are you concerned that your child may need braces or expanders? Oftentimes, early treatment (called phase one orthodontics) can prepare a child’s mouth for permanent teeth to come in straight. Not all kids need phase one ortho, but children should have an orthodontic consultation by age seven.

Enlarging the upper arch with a palatal expander, placing space maintainer where teeth will eventually erupt, and/or wearing braces during elementary school can help patients experience fewer orthodontic concerns during their teen and adult years ( expander also help alleviate airway problem). Phase two orthodontics is made easier and shorter for patients who undergo early treatment between ages seven and 10.
